This half term we are taking a trip around the world with the help of a book "Where Next Mr Noah"

This week South America!!

The Pandas went to China

This week our magic carpet landed in China where Mr Noah sent the panda bears after the great flood. We have tasted noodles at snack time and practised saying hello in Chinese.  We have also looked at our book "Who Am I Black and White" - one of a series of books we have which gives the children clues and they have to guess who the animal is. The children have really enjoyed playing with our large junk model Ark that we made last week, putting the animals in and out and even climbing in themselves!

On Tuesday afternoon we sat in the log area and read "After The Storm" - a story about Percy the park keeper when he comes to the rescue when a big tree falls down in the park and lots of animals loose their homes. We spoke about the roots of the tree and looked at the base of the Californian Redwood in the log area before coming back to the playground and planting a little conifer tree in a recycled (plastic) fish tank whilst looking at the roots of that. On Thursday afternoon the children painted a lovely mural cave painting style having read the book "Cave Baby" - we have to say it looks very authentic!

Welcome to Pals Pre-School Christ Church Chislehurst

Pals offers a pre-school education for children aged two and a half to five years.

We are  open Monday to Friday from 9.15am to 12.30pm during Bromley term time, and also offer two extended sessions a week. These sessions include both lunch and school skills and are very popular both with the children and parents. There is an additional cost for this.

Our aim is to provide a stimulating and happy atmosphere where children feel safe, cared for and supported in their first steps away from home. We help children through support and encouragement, to develop the self-confidence they need to act independently, with good manners and thoughtfulness towards others.

We are based at Christ Church Chislehurst where we have a bright and spacious  hall with additional carpeted rooms which we use for small group work, quieter activities and also physical activities. We are also fortunate to have a designated outdoor play area as well as surrounding woodland - where we are sure we saw The Gruffalo!

Ofsted report

Our latest Ofsted inspection took place on 19th May 2016 and we are delighted to have been graded Outstanding.

Regular updates

At Pals we believe that parents are children’s first and most enduring educators.  Therefore we encourage parent’s and carer’s contributions in a variety of ways.  For example: through our parent’s voluntary  rota, contributions to our themes and regular sharing of information.

Please have a look at  noticeboard  for current updates and our weekly session plans.
